About The Foundation

The CraftWorks Foundation, a 501c(3), non-profit organization, is the charitable arm of CraftWorks Restaurants and Breweries, Inc., parent company of Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Old Chicago Restaurants, Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant and Specialty Brands. The Foundation is:

  • Dedicated to combating hunger in the communities in which we live and operate restaurants.
  • Committed to providing support through our restaurants to organizations and programs that address the social issue of hunger.
  • Actively giving back to the communities in which we are so fortunate to do business.

History

In 2000, The CraftWorks Foundation was founded to:
  • Provide a way to channel the Corporation’s abundant giving.
  • Encourage and facilitate community service programs.
  • Assist employees who experience hardships.

The Foundation embodies the spirit of making a difference in the lives of others. It is an integral part of our culture, setting us apart as unique in our industry.

Mission

The CraftWorks Foundation is dedicated to combating hunger in our communities, helping our teammates in crisis, and inspiring a culture of giving and volunteerism.

Vision Statements

Volunteerism:
Creating a spirit of volunteerism through C.A.R.E (Community Actions Reward Everyone) events that inspires, enables and appreciates the personal passions of our stakeholders, in areas of broad based social concern.
Hunger:
Success is having a daily impact on hunger by:

Our Staff

Angie Leach - Executive Director, CraftWorks Foundation

during her tenure, Angie's helped to launch and implement an employee crisis fund, national awareness campaigns, corporate volunteer initiatives, national events, and a food donation program in which 12 tons of good but unused food is donated to local hunger agencies, annually.

Today, she's a regular contributor on local corporate, foundation and academic panels. Angie enjoys spending her time supporting community-based organizations, including as a past Board Member of the KUVO Jazz89, Denver Inner City Parish and as a Commissioner for the Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships.

Katy DeJonge - National Events and Programs Manager

Katy joined the CraftWorks Foundation in the spring of 2011, supporting Foundation sponsored holiday events, golf tournaments, beer fests, restaurants fundraisers, and more. She brings with her a B.S. in hospitality management and a diverse background in restaurant front-of-house and banquet management at national and restaurant chains, along with administrative and fundraising coordination at local and statewide levels of the non-profit sector.
Michelle Jones - Administrator

Michelle's passion for serving the greater good goes back many years - as a member of CU-Boulder's Alphi Phi Omega service organization, to serving at her children's schools. Michelle's background as an educator complemented her role as the Executive Director of Adam's camp, a small not-for-profit that provides therapy services for children with special needs. Currently, as Administrator, Michelle's duties involve bookkeeping, managing the CraftWorks Foundation's H.O.P.E. Fund grants, the Volunteer Payroll Deduction program, and all donations fundraised through Craftworks' many restaurants.
