We believe that charity begins at home which means caring for our own team members in times of crisis and financial empowerment through our H.O.P.E. Fund. Creating a "caring for each other" culture by being a resource for our team members for financial and other 1:1 support services in times of crisis and struggle is of paramount importance.
This program is primarily funded by our restaurant teammates who voluntarily donate a portion of each paycheck to the fund. Since the inception of the program, nearly $1M has been granted, helping over 800 teammates in need.

We value local charity partnerships, thus all CraftWorks Foundation funding is given through the relationships local charities develop with our restaurants. By leveraging our restaurant resources of people, money, time and hospitality, we successfully fundraise hundreds of thousands of dollars and hundreds of volunteer hours to worthy causes, each year.

Annual Rock Bottom Restaurant Tapping Tradition
Fire Chief Ale
In a tribute to firefighting heroes across the country, Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery holds an annual Fire Chief Ale Promotion to raise funds for local fire departments and fire related charities in each Rock Bottom community. Through this collaborative effort amongst our restaurants we have created funding for Fire Departments, related charities and other worthwhile organizations within our communities.
The promotion runs nationwide each Spring at Rock Bottom’s and the Walnut Brewery in Boulder, Colorado. A final check presentation to the local fire department or related charity wraps up the promotion in each community.
Fire Chief Ale is one of the specialty beers brewed throughout the year by Rock Bottom Brewmasters. This ale is uniquely handcrafted in each region and is a full-bodied amber that is similar in style to a British bitter with a dry, mildly hopped finish. The three-week promotion includes special events such as chili cook-offs and bachelor auctions in the restaurants.
As the largest purveyors of hand crafted beer, we enjoy sharing our passion at two craft beer festivals that showcase the region's best hand crafted brews.
